About me edit

Former graduate student at Georgetown University, learned the ropes of Wikipedia as part of the Wikimedia Foundation's Public Policy Initiative. I am also learning Arabic and hope to be able to put that to good use in the future (here or elsewhere). You can find my Arabic user page here (or using the Languages navigation on the far left).

Previous Courses edit

I participated in two Wikipedia assignments at Georgetown for the Spring 2011:

With these classes as my guide, my contributions focused on mass media in the Arab World as well as refugees in the Middle East and North Africa. More specifically, my refugees class focused on displaced populations in/from Iraq, Sudan, Palestine and Western Sahara, with an additional focus on US Policy towards each respective community, and the humanitarian and non-governmental organizations who deal with them.

Talk to me edit
