Personal library

The following books, booklets or pamphlets are in my personal library. Specific focus is driven by genealogy and general history related to genealogy, or the odd interest (e.g. Battleship Bismark). Within each topic, materials are listed by author (or first author) name unless noted otherwise. Materials without a specific author are listed separately from those that do. Chronological events are listed first followed by other topics. Let me know if you are looking for information from one of these books.

Hundred Years' War (1337-1453) edit

These books generally discuss events or issues involved with the so-called Hundred Years' War.

American Colonial Period (1607-1775) edit

These books generally cover colonies in North America, with a particular focus on British colonies along the Atlantic Ocean that later formed the United States of America.

The U.S. Constitution formed the second independent government (third if you count the Continental Congress) for the United States of America.

War of 1812 (1812-1814) edit

The War of 1812 is one of the United States' forgotten wars. Schools quickly mention the conflict and move onward to wars the US actually won (my opinion, but this is one of my personal pages).

American Civil War (1861-1865) edit

While I prefer the American War of Succession as an accurate title, Wikipedia has settled on the American Civil War for the subject covered by these books. Even that title assumes "American" means North American (which we all know it does not). In any event, this period had a huge impact on how the United States of America (USA) continued forward from that point.
