Hello fellow editors!
If you share an interest in Canadian Art, please join us at Wikiproject Canadian Visual Arts. My goal is to improve Wikipedia entries related to Canadian visual arts as well as provide a resource portal for new editors and for new page editors to understand our award system.
I am myself always open to ways as to improve my own writing, so welcome any constructive comments. Although I routinely review art for a small community newspaper, I find it's easy to fall into "artspeak". In future I will not add new artist entries, as I am scheduled to curate local foundation's art fundraiser, but will continue to improve existing ones. I am particularly interested in encouraging women and seniors to contribute to Wikipedia as a way to keep informed, retain expertise, and preserve academic skills. Now that I'm 65, I also have more time to mentor new editors and am happy to answer questions on Canadian or Montreal artists.
