Hrant Dink, the "Agos" weekly editor, an Armenian by origin, was killed at 15:00 of local time, on January 19. Dink was known by his bold statements about the Armenian Genocide, the tabooed issue in Turkey, for which he had received threats from Turkish nationalists who viewed him as a traitor.
