Dkriegls is often referred to as Daniel Krieglstein of Chicago, Illinois. I'm a regular editor to Wikipedia and support all efforts to expand public access to free and accurate knowledge. Born in Lawrence, Michigan, USA (1979), my day job is Ad. Assistant Professor of Behavioral Design at the Illinois Institute of Technology: College of Computing (my faculty profile). Generally, I'm a good natured person who will work with any editor to find middle ground. I am a strong supporter of corrective criticism and encourage others to be more open to constructive feedback as a first step toward improvement. I'm also a peer-reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Psychology and board member of the International Society for Universal Dialogue.

Be nice to new editors: My desire to become a regular editor of Wikipedia began with biography articles about my immediate family, in clear disharmony with WP:Conflict of interest. However, that emotional connection got me to read Wikipedia:Guidelines and get involved with the WikiProject Biography. I credit the kindness of experienced editors with guiding me into becoming a productive editor. I also remember how often I almost quit altogether because of a few bad encounters with editors attacking me for WP:Conflict of interest. Those personal attacks were mostly by novice editors, but all editors should be kind to new editors, even when they are grossly violating Wikipedia guidelines. Remember when you did stupid things around here? :)

For all the work you've done in cleaning up "notable" (and sometimes, not so notable) people!

Meissen-teacup pinkrose01.jpg Thanks for your amazing suggestions! I stay up late editing, and work really, really hard to do a good job on these, but unfortunately, thanks mostly to the stifling efforts of ONE editor. I will likely have to quit that project. I simply will be threatened with a block if I continue, so I will likely have to stop. People are very protective of the towns and cities in their watchlists... even if I am only trying to attain consensus. Happy to discuss further though tomorrow! Going to sleep for now. How to write a 'Notable people' section

B Several editors have worked hard to come up with guidelines on how best to write these sections. Not all are in agreement.

B For the most widely agreed upon guidelines, refer to the Notable people section of the WikiProject Cities/US Guideline

B For the best example of a top quality list, see the List of people from Park Ridge, Illinois
