Hi world, I'm Danita. I am originally from a small town named Waycross Georgia, I then later moved to Orlando, Florida, and then back to Statesboro, Georgia. I am enrolled at GSU and my major is Sociology. Also, I have a diploma in Deaf Studies from Ogeechee Technical College. I wanted to pursue Deaf Studies further, but the program was dropped due to finanicial reasons. I am able to speak to the death with my hands at a secondary level. One day I hope to continue learning more about how to communicate with the deaf.

Relationship to technology edit

As you can see, I am not as good with technology than others. I am from what they call "old school". My beliefs are to just pick up the phone rather than texting or using a computer to communicate. My computer skills are limited. I am what you can call a computer dummy. However, I am what you call an expert or a whiz when it comes to Microsoft Words (humor).

Philosophy of Wikipedia edit

I have little interest in Wikipedia right now because of my lack of understanding in how to use it, but I am willing to learn at a latter date. This is my first time using Wikipedia and I have learned at lot. I do feel that Wikipedia is not for everybody, but for those who enjoy using it, I hear that it is quite beneficial to them. When dealing with this website, you have to be caution about the information that you receive because the information can be wrong. I do believe that there should be a minimum set of qualifications to write on Wikipedia because so many people use it and trust it.

I was born an American. English is my primary language: I read, write and speak English only. Later in life, I decided to go to a Community College to learn Deaf Studies. I graduated with a diploma in Deaf Studies for the deaf. The reason why I wanted to learn this new language was because I wanted to be able to communicate with my deaf cousin. It was hard at first, but learning this new language with my hands was a lifetime experience. I am not able to contribute to Wikipedia with this language.

There are so many things that I like to do and about myself such as:I am first a women who loves sports, go Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, and the Colt. I also like to spend time with my family, play spades, and eat all type of seafood.
