I am a freelance writer with a special interest in neglected 19th century composers such as Auber, Halévy, Mercadante, Meyerbeer and Pacini (hence my user name of Buondelmonte**) as well as performance histories of operas and singers.
I was born in Vienna, Austria, making German my native language, but have lived in the United States for over 60 years.
- Buondelmonte is an opera by Pacini premiered in Florence in 1845. Originally given as Bondelmonte (and sometimes listed as such), it was almost invariably given as Buondelmonte, and even referred to by the composer as such.
