Hello.

My name is Hsu, Pi-yuan Andy and the name means to assist a ruler in governing a country. It’s my parents’ expectation. I was born in 1988 in Taipei City. I’m the only child in my family. After I graduated from elementary school, I went to Singapore for my junior high education. I was at ISS International School Singapore and transferred to Canadian International School (Singapore) in grade eight. When I was in grade 11, I transferred to Georges Vanier Secondary School in Toronto, Canada.

I have developed my interest in aviation since I was a little kid by taking aeroplanes. My mom also ordered aviation magazines, but I couldn’t understand the paragraphs inside of magazines in that period. I have started with software called Microsoft Flight Simulator since I was a junior high school student. I start to figure out the operations of an aircraft by this software. I also become a virtual air traffic controller at VATSIM - Republic of China Division (VATROC). I got a chance to operate an Airbus A340 simulator at the training centre of China Airlines at Songshan Airport. I also revised a document called “Aircraft Performance and Operations” for Civil Aeronautics Administration of Taiwan. During the summer vocation in 2006, I served as an air traffic controller in an experiment called “Risk Research on Voice Communications and Aviation Safety”. This research project was held by National Tsing Hua University, National Taiwan Ocean University and Shih Chien University.

Now, I am a student at Chung Hua University in Hsinchu City, Taiwan, Republic of China and my major is transportation management.
