The city is located just 3 km east of the Pune-Banglore National Highway Number 4 (NH 4).One can have easy access to three major cities, viz. Sangli, Karad and Kolhapur from Islampur since they are nearly the same distances. The Taluka place is Walwa, which is 10 km from Islampur but all the Judicial, Panchayat, and Tehsil related procedures are carried out in Islampur.
