Ulysses Llanez Jr. (born April 2, 2001), is an American soccer player who plays as a forward at the youth team for Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg.

Club careerEdit

Llanez made his professional debut for LA Galaxy II in a 0–2 loss to Phoenix Rising FC on August 6, 2017, coming on as an 88th-minute substitute for Josh Turnley.[1]

On his 18th birthday, April 2, 2019, Llanez announced[2] he had signed a professional contract to play for the German side VfL Wolfsburg where he currently plays on their U19 squad.

International careerEdit

Llanez was born in the United States and is of Mexican descent. He was previously called to youth training camps for the Mexico U16s in 2017.[3]

He currently represents the United States as a youth international. Part of the squad at the 2018 CONCACAF Championship, Llanez finished tied for second in goals scored on the team with Ayo Akinola.

Recently called up to the U.S. U-20 team for a pair of friendlies in Spain, he could be a starter for the U-20 World Cup squad.[4]
