The Real Has Come! (Korean진짜가 나타났다!) is a 2023 South Korean television series starring Baek Jin-hee, Ahn Jae-hyun, Cha Joo-young, and Jung Eui-jae. It premiered on KBS2 on March 25, 2023, and aired every Saturday and Sunday at 19:55 (KST) for 50 episodes.[3] It is available for streaming on Kocowa, Viki and Viu in selected regions.[4][5][6]

The series ended on September 10, 2023, with 22.9% viewership ratings for its finale episode. It was 1% lower than its highest ratings of 23.9% as per Nielsen Korea.[7]

Synopsis edit

The series depicts the story of an unmarried pregnant woman and an unmarried man who enter into a false contract which leads them to romance, pregnancy, childbirth, and childrearing.[8][9]

Production edit

Initially Kwak Si-yang was selected as main lead opposite Baek Jin-hee, but on December 21, 2022, it was reported that he dropped out due to scheduling problems.[29] Ahn Jae-hyun replaced Kwak Si-yang, who is making come back after 3 years, since he last appeared in 2019 series Love with Flaws.[30] Baek Jin-hee, having last appeared in 2018 TV series Feel Good to Die, making a come back after 4 years.[31] Kim Sa-kwon appeared in KBS daily drama Home for Summer in 2019, since then he is appearing in present TV series for KBS. The script reading site was revealed on February 9, 2023.[32]

Release edit

With release of teaser poster the release date was announced on February 16, 2023. The first episode of the series was aired on March 25, 2023, it recorded a viewership rating of 17.7%, which is 2.8 percentage points lower than the ratings of the first episode of the previous weekend drama of KBS.[33] The last episode of the series was aired on September 10, marking the end of weekend series.[34]
