Officer Insignia appearance and types edit

The officers have two types of insignias, these are seen interchangeably among officers.

Dolphin and anchor logo: The rank insignia looks like the Navy's, but the shoulder board is navy blue and has a dolphin and anchor insignia above the stripes, the dolphin and anchor insignia is the same from the coast guard logo. Flag officers are gold shoulder boards with navy blue flanks, and a silver dolphin and anchor insignia above stars.

Navy sun and pcg shield: The rank insignia looks like the Navy's, but the shoulder board is navy blue. Like the navy, there is a gold sun above the stripes. Flag officers have gold shoulder boards with navy blue flanks and a silver shield with the full coast guard logo/ coat of arms above stars. DarleenDolphin1 (talk) 06:06, 22 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

The male officer above the Commodores left shoulder utilizes the dolphin and anchor insignia and others use the navy sun and pcg shield insignia. https://c8.alamy.com/comp/P711H1/officer-in-charge-commodore-joel-garcia-philippine-coast-guard-lt-cmdr-jeremy-obenchain-us-coast-guard-maritime-advisor-defense-threat-reduction-agency-and-us-embassy-and-chief-petty-officer-john-oneil-us-coast-guard-combat-veterans-association-discuss-the-life-of-lt-james-crotty-at-the-military-american-cemetery-may-9-2017-the-ceremony-was-culminated-with-the-reveal-of-lt-crottys-name-now-etched-on-the-us-coast-guard-wall-in-the-cemetery-P711H1.jpg DarleenDolphin1 (talk) 06:18, 22 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
