Just a pinch of slickness edit

I have totally revamped Cal Poly Pomona's nav template using my CSU-class design. If you are augmenting or modifying the template and keeping this general design, see User:Dynaflow/Crap-I-Made for other examples of how this design can be set up. Have fun. --Dynaflow 06:03, 28 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Navbox edit

I think this and all other College templates should be navboxes. They are cleaner and more simple. --Richmond96 (talk) 02:43, 9 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Nomenclature edit

The official name of "Cal Poly Pomona" is officially California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. The name must contain pomona according to: http://www.csupomona.edu/~publicaffairs/graphics/nomenclature.shtml.

All University of the UC and CSU class contain the full official name followed by the location in the lower line. For example, "UCLA" infobox is displayed as:

University of California, Los Angeles Los Angeles, California

Why is it then that "Cal Poly Pomona" is unable to use their full nomenclature? I am re-correcting the name to the full name in order to have unity with all other UC/CSU infoboxes.

neighborhood mentions edit

is it really necessary to mention Pomona and Philips Ranch? really, i thought that the name of the campus saying Pomona would say its part of the neighborhood. also why is philips ranch mentioned. its part of pomona. if anything mention industry. it borders the schools spadra ranch farm land that it is on valley.Javiern (talk) 02:34, 5 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Anyway, Phillips Ranch is part of Pomona; I don't think it needs a separate entry.--Curtis Clark (talk) 14:42, 5 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Rivalries: Cal Poly edit

how is cal poly a rival. they do not even play each other. cal poly is division 1. cal poly at pomona is division 2. have not played each other in over 8 years. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.16.43.180 (talk) 02:48, 12 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

edit

is it really necessary for the logo to say cspu, pomona and then pomona ca. isnt that a bit redundant. wouldnt it be better if it was just California State Polytechnic University, Pomona instead of including the establishment date and the current location? seems a bit redundant for meJaviern (talk) 04:58, 20 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Garamond font edit

If this is a navigation box then the priority should be legible text. This unstandard font is barely unreadable on my computer (Windows XP/Firefox). --MarsRover (talk) 20:41, 22 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
