Crossover edit

I don′t know any episode of the show Constantine that cross over with a show mentioned as the Arrowverse in the template. please tell me the episode before you distort the template again. --Wikiolo (talk) 19:46, 12 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

The character of Constantine crosses over into "Arrow", that's why it is listed. There aren't episodes of Constantine, because it was cancelled first, but the character does and we have reliable sources that says it's the same character.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 20:20, 12 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
So yeah, in the end there aren´t any crossovers as like these the template says. And also the Flash-show was cancelled before the other shows could have crossover to the show. Also here the character has been seen in a show of the Arrowverse, the 2014 Flash show. But yeah, when you accept giving people misinfomation, you can do that. I do not feel like to rectify the information again and again and to give you the note what is wrong and you ignore that and put in the wrong information again and again just because you think it seems better in the way you make it - although it is wrong. --Wikiolo (talk) 20:50, 12 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
If John Wesley Shipp shows up as The Flash in his 90s costume and they say it's from his "Earth", then you have an argument. Constantine is a crossover. You don't have to have an episode on both shows for it to be a crossover.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 20:58, 12 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
Just to be clear, the crossover section of this template is for all the series listed under the crossover section of the Arrowverse page, so if you are so certain that Constantine doesn't belong here, or that the 90s Flash does, then you need to make your argument at Talk:Arrowverse. Arguing or edit warring here won't change anything. - adamstom97 (talk) 21:09, 12 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Articles included in this template edit

It seems to me that the usefulness of this navbox is somewhat polluted by the inclusion of every episode article for The Flash and Supergirl. While those programs form part of the Arrowverse, only certain episodes deal with the Arrowverse itself. Really, only the crossover episodes should be included here. Thoughts? --AussieLegend () 09:58, 14 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

I agree and it will only become more messy once the season articles for each series are completed and added. We could have the episodes of each series be their own separate templates (similar to what Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has done) and just keep the crossover episodes (4 annual crossovers plus "Worlds Finest" and "Duet") in this template. - Brojam (talk) 22:24, 14 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
Part of the problem is that the Supergirl episodes need to be cleaned up an merged. Most barely (if that) meet the GNG, because they have a couple of reviews and a plot/cast section. Most of that information would be better suited to a season page. The only reason those episode articles exist is mostly because it was when the show was on CBS and could get a couple of reviews each week.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 13:49, 16 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
I agree with Bignole. JDDJS had redirected the majority of the season 2 episodes articles a few months ago. Maybe we should do the same for the season 1 articles as well and only keep the notable ones like "Pilot", "Worlds Finest", and a few others. - Brojam (talk) 22:44, 16 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Characters field edit

Can we create a characters field for this navbox? One reason is, it prevents overclutter, and another reason is that there are characters who recur across the franchise like Sara Lance (originally a recurring character on Arrow, later a main character on Legends). --Kailash29792 (talk) 05:19, 8 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

I'd be fine with that. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:14, 8 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, I’ll get working on it. Kailash29792 (talk) 16:23, 8 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Added items edit

I was thinking that it would be good to add DC constants like Big Belly Burger and some of the main items from List of DC Universe locations. Gusfriend (talk) 08:44, 2 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Unless they have Arrowverse-specific articles, then no. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 22:49, 2 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

New section idea “retroactive” section to the series including Black Lightning and Constantine. edit

As you can see in my example below: This new “retroactive” section for the series would include series that were retroactively made a part of the Arrowverse (Note: This doesn’t include series originally set on a different Earth from the main universe like Supergirl, as its conenection was already made apparent when Grant Gustin’s Flash appeared in the first season) The issue I have that I think is apparent is Black Lightning being listed among the main series when its Arrowverse connection wasn’t made apparent until the later half episodes and with Crisis on Infinite Earth and his cameo in Armageddon, therefore it shouldn’t counted up with the main series. Having appeared in the Arrow episode “Haunted” (which should be listed below in “crossovers” section) and getting more screen time with a guest appearance in Legends of Tomorrow’s third season, and becoming a main character in Legends of Tomorrow, John has ultimately having more screen time and than Jefferson, and his article’s title is John Constantine (Arrowverse), so it should be listed among the series. Conversely, as in my second example, Black Lightning can stay where it is, with Constantine being the only one listed in the “retroactive” column.

Constantine is not an Arrowverse series, when it aired or subsequently. The character appearing doesn't mean the series thus is made part of this universe. This has been discussed previously to the same conclusion. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 15:20, 29 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
It was confirmed Arrow executive producer and former showrunner Wendy Mericle in an interview that the John from the Constantine show is the same character shown in the Arrowverse. Legends of Tomorrow featured an older version of Astra, Bailey Tippen also reprised her role as Astra from the show for a voice over in Legend of Tomorrow’s third season. Advofspec (talk) 18:26, 31 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Again. These points have been discussed previously regarding this (on the Arrowverse talk page and maybe the Arrow one) and the series is not part of the Arrowverse. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:31, 31 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Vixen doesn’t have that much connective tissue to the Arrowverse either, like, yeahthere’s a crossover with Arrow and a different Vixen appears in Legends, but it’s super important, but it has a crossover, it’s in continuity, just like Constantine it was connected but didn’t have any major Arrowverse implications. But it’s not like Superman & Lois, it is set in the world. Also a crossover with Arrow was planned from its first season Advofspec (talk) 19:10, 31 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Vixen was actually created as an Arrowverse show. Apples and oranges comparison. Again, this has been discussed to death. This discussion isn't bringing any new material to the table to change consensus on the matter. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 20:34, 31 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Black Lightning wasn’t developed as an Arrowverse show either. Advofspec (talk) 14:04, 1 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
But that was explicitly and definitively confirmed to being on an alternate Earth of the Arrowverse and then existing on Earth Prime. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 15:14, 1 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Add “Haunted” and “Armageddon” to the “crossovers” section edit

Haunted (Arrow) and The Flash’s Armageddon (The Flash) should be added to the “crossovers” section as they are also crossovers as well, with “Haunted” having its own article as well as being listed in the Arrowverse crossovers category, and the page for Crisis on Infinite Earths mentioning “Armageddon” as the next crossover.

Advofspec (talk) 03:03, 29 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

"Haunted" is not an official crossover, Armageddon doesn't have an article. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 15:18, 29 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
What do you mean by “official”? That it’s not big like Invasion or Crisis? It’s still a crossover between one show and another, it was referred to by the cast and crew as a crossover. And Constantine prays a role in the episode, it isn’t just a cameo. Advofspec (talk) 18:32, 31 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Crossovers in the template are those deemed "official" by the producers and/or involving multiple series. As discussed above, Constantine the character is not a crossover with Constantine the show. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 19:04, 31 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
