{{Campaignbox Arab-Israeli conflict}}

I am proposing a replacement for the current template based on either {{Warbox}} or {{Infobox}}. Silence = agreement, so you better speak up. ←Humus sapiens ну? 04:23, 6 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

I like your template, but this particular template was meant to be for navigational purposes, whereas your infobox appears to be for the AIC page itself. I propose using your static warbox on the AIC page, but creating a separate navigation header or footer that follows the article series and otherarticles format. Something simple and easy for the main articles in the category, with a layout like Wikipedia:Series templates, for example, Template:History of computing, Template:Sep11, etc. Basically, we should follow the established format for conflicts (such as the warbox), but also maintain a series template. There an infinite number of ways of doing this, so let's give it some thought. But, I would like to see the warbox you've created on the main AIC page. —Viriditas | Talk 07:34, 6 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
While we are contemplating, I've simplified it by departing from Warbox and changed theme color to darkkhaki. ←Humus sapiens ну? 08:00, 6 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Note that {{Campaignbox Arab-Israeli conflict}} is a separate template. Now that we are not dependent on Warbox anymore, we can detach/add any box or make any field optional. ←Humus sapiens ну? 08:17, 6 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
I think it would be best to work within the guidelines of Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history. —Viriditas | Talk 08:52, 6 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
OK, we are not far apart. We can indeed put the Warbox (or smth. alike: many developments within this conflict are not military) into the main AIC article. Would you like to merge the "Related" & "Peace" items into the current "skinny" AIC template? ←Humus sapiens ну? 09:27, 6 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Sure. I suppose this will be split into multiple templates. I'm thinking of the AIC series, but I see we need a few others. BTW, do we have a Timeline of the Arab-Israeli conflict yet? —Viriditas | Talk 11:10, 6 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Created Template:Middle East conflict footer. —Viriditas | Talk 11:27, 6 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Good! Now we have also {{Infobox Arab-Israeli conflict}}. ←Humus sapiens ну? 03:55, 7 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Iran as a participant edit

Please do not remove Iran. Surely it belongs in the list, along with USSR, USA, etc. ←Humus sapiens ну? 22:56, 18 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

A relation isn't a participant, that doesn't make sense. I'll change the heading to related. Kaveh 02:58, 19 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Reaction and media coverage edit

Would it be possible to add the Media coverage of the Arab-Israeli conflict article somewhere to the infobox, maybe using an additional category entitled "Reactions", containing "United Nations" (linking to Israel, Palestine, and the United Nations) and "Media" (linking to Media coverage of the Arab-Israeli conflict)?

Huge template edit

Can someone make the sections collapsable? --Wickey-nl (talk) 14:13, 7 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
