Template documentation[view] [edit] [history] [purge]

This template adds article talk pages, category talk pages, template talk pages, etc. (whatever it is placed on) to Category:WikiProject Feminism articles. It is also used to track article classifications.

Usage

Typical syntax for this template is as follows:

{{WikiProject Feminism|class=|importance=}}

Note: The parameters names must be entered in lowercase.

The class and importance parameters are associated with the Project's article assessment and rating scheme. These parameters add a category to the talk page reflecting the values chosen.

A needs-image parameter can also be added with the possible values of "yes" or "no".

Optional parameters

  • category – set |category=no if, and only if, a banner is being used for demonstration or testing purposes, to prevent unnecessary or undesirable categorization. Otherwise, omit this parameter.
  • class – valid values are: fa, a, ga, b, c, start, stub, fl, list, category, disambig, draft, file, portal, project, template, na (case-insensitive). See the project's quality scale for details.
  • importance – valid values are: top, high, mid, low, na (case-insensitive). See the project's importance scale for details.
  • needs-image – set |needs-image=yes to request that a photograph, map, drawing, diagram, equation, or other image be added to the page. Leave blank or delete if not.
  • listas – This parameter, which is the equivalent of the DEFAULTSORT sortkey that should be placed on all biographical articles, is a sortkey for the article talk page (e.g. for Susan B. Anthony, use |listas=Anthony, Susan B. so that the talk page will show up in the A's and not the S's of the various assessment and administrative categories). This is important because it is one source used by those who set DEFAULTSORT on the article; consider also setting the DEFAULTSORT for the article when setting this parameter. For more information about this, please see Wikipedia:Categorization of people#Ordering names in a category.
    It is not required if another WikiProject template on the same page has its own |listas= set, since it not only affects categories used by the banner in which it is set, but it also affects the sortkey of all other banners and templates.
  • small – set |small=yes to display a small version of the template aligned along the right side of the page (as opposed to at the top). This parameter does not work as expected if the banner template is enclosed in {{WikiProject banner shell}} or any of its redirects.
