The Rainbow Lorikeet (Trichoglossus haematodus, nominate race T. h. haematodus shown) is a true parrot found throughout Australasia. It ranges from 25 to 30 cm (9.8 to 11.8 in) in size, and has a wingspan of about 17 cm (6.7 in).
