- Comment: Just published by the WikiJournal of Science [1], and turned from a stub into a peer-reviewed article (note that Evolution and evolvability did not create the text; they just updated it from the published article, as the journal's Editor).

@Elmidae and Evolution and evolvability: The proposed hook gives the impression that protein deficiency is a prerequisite for heavy infections whereas my reading of the article is that protein deficiency is a result of heavy infections. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:49, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
- That's a good point; my phrasing is actually quite misleading there. Let me propose two alternatives:
- ALT1... that sheep infected with the parasitic nematode Teladorsagia circumcincta will suffer from protein deficiency? Source: Donaldson et al. 1998, Stear et al. 2003
- - or, based on a less important but more hooky facet:
- ALT2... that sheep infected with the parasitic nematode Teladorsagia circumcincta have been treated with fungal spores? Source: Waller et al. 2004

Mike Stear: in relation to ALT1 I think it is more accurate to say that "... sheep infected with the parasitic nematode Teladorsagia circumcincta may suffer from protein deficiency". In relation to ALT2 I think that it is better to say "... sheep infected with the parasitic nematode Teladorsagia circumcincta can be given fungal spores which will develop in the faeces, kill developing larvae and reduce the transmission of parasites between sheep. - MStear (talk contribs) 17:06, 20 June 2019
