Joan Boada

  • ... that Joan Boada was named principal dancer at the Cuban National Ballet at age 16, but later defected and ended up at the San Francisco Ballet? Source: "Joan Boada, one of the world's most celebrated young dancers, is joining San Francisco Ballet as a principal. A native of Havana, Boada trained and danced with Alicia Alonso's Ballet Nacional de Cuba before defecting to France in 1994." ([1])

  • Article was converted from a redirect two days ago, and is long enough at ~2800 characters. Citations are good, and copyvio score checks out at 7.4%. The hook is interesting and cited both in the article and here (I used the GBooks link in the article to confirm the part about him being 16 when he became a principal dancer). All good on my end!
