Jason Graae edit

  • ... that Jason Graae had to use his ad libbing skills when a fake moustache "started to take on a life of its own" on the opening night of Little Me?
  • (ALT1): ... that in the one-man play Fully Committed, Jason Graae handles 30 different roles in 80 minutes with "low-key charm as well as pile-driving obnoxiousness with equal skill"?
  • (ALT2): ... that on the cover of his album of Charles Strouse songs, Jason Graae appears "wearing nothing but a sly smile, a top hat (not on his head) and a cane"?
  • (ALT2a): ... that Jason Graae wears nothing but the biggest top hat he could find and a "sly smile" for the cover of his album of Charles Strouse songs You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile?
  • (ALT2b): ... that on one album cover, Jason Graae wears "nothing but a sly smile, a top hat (not on his head) and a cane" – having "searched long and hard for the biggest hat [he] could find"?

    • I have listed this as a BLP expansion as it started as a 2127 byte unreferenced BLP. Here is a cumulative diff of the changes I have made. This is also a x5 expansion: 9908 / 1407 = 7.04... times.
    • The article is still classed as a stub but I have requested a reassessment from the Biography WikiProject and am confident that this is not a stub.
    • The source to support the ALT0 hook is: Heymont, George (3 July 2013). "The Right Girl in the Right Place at the Right Time". Huffington Post. Retrieved 30 September 2016. On opening night, Graae's quick wit (he's a master at ad libbing onstage) came in handy when a fake moustache started to take on a life of its own. Although he had performed Little Me in concert form in Los Angeles, this was Graae's first outing in a fully-staged production. As expected, he was absolutely hilarious.
    • The source to support the ALT1 hook is: Henerson, Evan (2004). "'Fully Committed' to the role Jason Graae prepares a hearty buffet of characters". Los Angeles Daily News. Retrieved 30 September 2016. The very funny "Committed" calls for one performer to tackle some 30 roles at breakneck speed in 80 minutes ... Graae can play low-key charm as well as pile-driving obnoxiousness with equal skill
    • The source to support the ALT2 hook and its variants (my preference amongst these is ALT2a) is: O'haire, Patricia (13 October 1996). "Naked Ambition Broadway Star Jason Graae Reveals Why he's Dressing Down to give his Career a Leg Up". New York Daily News. Retrieved 1 October 2016. No one could tell if he was blushing when he posed for the photo for his album cover, either. In the photo, he's starkers wearing nothing but a sly smile, a top hat (not on his head) and a cane. Like he'd just stepped out of the shower. Well, it fits the album, which is titled, "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile: Jason Graae Sings Charles Strouse." ... So I agreed. "I might also say I searched long and hard for the biggest hat I could find."

  • The article expansion is recent enough, long enough and is within policy regarding neutrality, sourcing and avoidance of close paraphrase and copyvio issues. Earwig's detection of several low to mid-range confidence matches all appear related various quotations and titles. The hooks are within length, interesting an are all properly sourced. QPQ has been met. @EdChem:, nicely done. Alansohn (talk) 22:41, 30 October 2016 (UTC)
Thank you, Alansohn, it started out as an unreferenced BLP and I got enthusiastic! Any suggestions on which hook to use, or not use?  :) EdChem (talk) 00:59, 31 October 2016 (UTC)
I'd spin the wheel on this one. All five are sufficiently hook-y to draw in readers. Alansohn (talk) 01:02, 31 October 2016 (UTC)
