  • @DannyS712: are you looking at hook interest when you do reviews? The first hook is not hooky. For the second hook, Peter Falk is dead, but it looks like backstage squabbling and all we have is Lloyd's word for it. Freikorp do you have other hook suggestions? Yoninah (talk) 19:22, 31 December 2018 (UTC)
@Yoninah: given how icon Julia Roberts is in pretty woman, I found it pretty interesting, and thought that, if Alt0 was interesting, that would be the hook that was used, as opposed to Alt1, which I agree isn't very hooky. Does that explain it? --DannyS712 (talk) 19:25, 31 December 2018 (UTC)
  • @DannyS712: yes, it does. But I left the United States a few years before this, so I wasn't aware that Julia Roberts had starred in it, and many of our foreign readers also might not be familiar with the cast list. @Damien Linnane: would it be appropriate to mention that the role went to Julia Roberts in the hook? Actually, many actors turn down roles that they wish they hadn't afterwards. Perhaps a better hook, for those of us who've never heard of Emily Lloyd, would be:
  • ALT3: ... that at age 17 the English actress Emily Lloyd reportedly beat over 5,000 actresses, including Jodie Foster, for the lead role in the 1989 film Cookie? Yoninah (talk) 19:46, 31 December 2018 (UTC)
If Damien is okay with this, then so am I --DannyS712 (talk) 19:49, 31 December 2018 (UTC)
@Yoninah: ALT3 is fine with me. To be honest I'd be happy with any hook that is deemed appropriate. :) Damien Linnane (talk) 05:28, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
Then ALT3 is approved. --DannyS712 (talk) 05:30, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
  • @DannyS712: could you please verify the hook and then give it a tick? Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 11:45, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
Alt3 is approved with a small grammatical fix I just made (removing in improper comma). --DannyS712 (talk) 18:04, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
