Cole Sulser

Converted from a redirect by Muboshgu (talk) and AdamBGregory (talk). Nominated by Muboshgu at 03:15, 7 September 2019 (UTC).

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems

Hook eligibility:

  • Cited: Yes
  • Interesting: Yes
  • Other problems: No - ALT1 is confusing, implying that Sulser has "earned" these surgeries. I think he got them by accident /s But seriously, some people may not get this.
QPQ: Done.

Overall: epicgenius (talk) 14:47, 14 September 2019 (UTC)

  • @Epicgenius:, Alt1 rewritten to Alt2. Could be tinkered with to be the more "interesting" hook if it's understandable. If people don't "get it" they may click through to figure it out? QPQ done. – Muboshgu (talk) 17:45, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
  • @Muboshgu: ALT0 and ALT2 good to go. I was referring to the fact that people may not understand that Sulser didn't "earn" these surgeries, but rather, got them as a result of accidents. epicgenius (talk) 17:48, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
  • Epicgenius, I get your point. In a sense, he did "earn" the surgeries through the continual repetitive motion of throwing putting stress on his UCL of the elbow. I'm okay with any rewrites though. I just thought it's interesting that someone with two Ivy League degrees would be having two Tommy John surgeries, but YMMV. – Muboshgu (talk) 17:53, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
