Brugada syndrome edit

  • ... that Brugada syndrome, known as Bangungut in the Philippines, is the commonest cause of sudden death in South Asian young men with otherwise normal hearts? Source: It is worth noting that Asians have known about the condition for many decades. In the Philippines it was known as Bangungut (scream followed by sudden death during sleep)... ...Indeed, this syndrome is the most common cause of sudden death in individuals younger than 50 in South Asia with no underlying cardiac disease. • This is a newly promoted GA, and is long enough and nominated soon enough. The article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. I have struck ALT1 because the Philippine name for the disease is not explained in the article. If you added a suitably referenced statement explaining the meaning of "Bangungut", that hook could be reinstated. The original hook is also unsatisfactory because the statement made in the article is about young men from Thailand and Laos, and not from young men in South Asia in general. For your DYK hook you will need facts that are included in the article and cited inline in the article. Ping me when you have a suitable hook, or you have added and cited the information for one or both of the present hooks to the article, and I will finish this review. • Thanks @Cwmhiraeth:, I have amended the text in the article in line with ALT1 - hope it's acceptable now. PeaBrainC (talk) 21:41, 6 August 2018 (UTC)
