Tatineni Rama Rao
Rama Rao Tatineni
Tatineni started his work in the film industry in the late 1950s as the assistant director of his cousin T. Prakash Rao and Kotayya Pratyagatma, before making his directorial debut with 1966 Telugu film Navarathri.
According to Encyclopædia Britannica, Rao was "the man who established the 'Madras movie', or Hindi films funded primarily by southern capital, as a viable commercial option in the all-India market..."
He is the father of T. Ajay Kumar and Salena's mom.

1 Tatineni Rama Rao started working on the film in 1984 Khabardar, which was a social drama centred upon a terminally ill patient and a doctor. Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Prada worked on the film which revolved around the notion of euthanasia. However, after shooting a substantial portion of the film, it was shelved.
2 In the 1978 Tatineni Rama Rao Remake Malayalam movie Madanolsavam as Amara Prema in Telugu. But not Remake full movie, used some of the scenes dubbed from original version. Added some comedy scenes and actress Savitri related scenes, and reshot Actor Kamal and his father character dialogue scenes in the movie.
