Which are the best peels to eat? I think I came across a website telling me that lime peel is poisonous, but I would appreciate some advice on this. This does not appear to be the case with lemon peel - this has a substance in it, D-limonene, which, according to some websites, helps to protect against skin cancer. I know that orange peel is quite edible - I have often cooked orange peel in omelettes for breakfast! ACEO 19:49, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

- Yeah it's strongly doubtful that lime peel is poisonous... at least in any dose that might be consumed in daily activity.
- What of residual pesticides? The toxicity may not be an inherent quality of the lemons, but depending on the pesticides used in cultivation, I'm not sure it's a wise thing to regularly ingest it.
