Semi-professional? edit
That accurate? Doesn't FIFA use a category 'non amateur' that is closer to reality? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.19.100.60 (talk)
- Agreed, changed it to amateur on the page. Please remember to sign your posts using four ~. NZFC(talk) 00:44, 30 December 2017 (UTC)
Have a look at this. Clearly amateur doesn't fit the bill either. http://library.la84.org/OlympicInformationCenter/OlympicReview/1955/BDCE49/BDCE49f.pdf Anyway, being paid $20,000 to play first team football ( and more in some cases) is way beyond amateur. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.79.125.247 (talk) 21:04, 9 January 2018 (UTC)
- Unless you have proof they are being paid that much then it is just hearsay. They are considered amateur even if they receive some remuneration. Overall even if you are talking about the first team, this article is about the club and overall the club is an amateur club NZFC(talk) 21:10, 9 January 2018 (UTC)
- In that case, there might need to be some consensus on how Central league clubs are marked. Some are marked as amateur and some aren't. Solution? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.79.125.247 (talk) 21:31, 9 January 2018 (UTC)
