– Per WP:NATURAL and WP:COMMONNAME the district is usually called "Waveney District"[1] in a generic context even though "Waveney" is the preferred label by the OS, presumably when its clear from the context that you're referring to the district. There are also a number of other article on the DAB page. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:09, 21 September 2018 (UTC) --Relisting. • Maybe Support or Maybe Merge. I spent five minutes looking through news articles referencing Waveney and they all use just Waveney, not Waveney District, unless they're talking about the Waveney District Council. So I don't see support for the notion that the most common name for the district is "Waveney District" (beyond the geonames.org site linked in the nom). However, page view stats show quite clearly that we do not have a primary topic here, and Waveney District does seem like an obvious natural disambiguation, since disambiguation is necessary in this case. That said, the distinction between Waveney and Waveney (UK Parliament constituency) seems fuzzy to me, and I wonder if there shouldn't be a merge which would create a primary topic. --В²C 19:01, 21 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
Constituencies often have similar boundaries to districts, see Castle Point/Castle Point (UK Parliament constituency) and its not common to merge them (I don't think ever actually). Crouch, Swale (talk) 19:11, 21 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Also I'd point out that the district is named after the river, in addition the district is going to be abolished in April next year so its likely that the views for it will go down after that anyway. Crouch, Swale (talk) 19:15, 21 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Per WP:UKDISTRICTS, see "Non-metropolitan districts with local ambiguity..." Crouch, Swale (talk) 17:20, 27 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
