The Rift

edit

the Rift link redirects to Doctor Who, and not to the actual book.

Fixed by correcting link on this page to refer to The Rift (novel), which still needs to be created, and converting The Rift to a disambiguation page. — Epastore 17:38, 23 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Though I'm hesitant to add more links to the substantial link section, I think a few speaking to the notability of the author might be nice, specifically I'm thinking of the review from Bruce Sterling in Cheap Truth and possibly the game adaptation of Hardwired by R. Talsorian. The game link I admit is tenuous, but derivative works speak to notability... Wintermut3 19:35, 7 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Series

edit

Voice of the Whirlwind is not a sequel to Hardwired. See talk page on Voice of the Whirlwind for justification. Wikieponymous (talk) 09:37, 20 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

English upbringing ?

edit

I recently read that the author was brought up in England however, I can’t seem to find other sources outside of his own website profile. With this in mind, does anyone else have any sources that we can cite? Roland Of Yew (talk) 13:24, 19 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

"Revert Good-Faith Additions (source needed)"

is "literally the actual text" not considered a source? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.236.49.198 (talk) 14:42, 21 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Since neither isfdb nor fantasticfiction.com include Angel Station as part of the Hardwired series, you definitely need a source. The book would be sufficient if you have a page number. But also note WP:SYNTH. Dan Bloch (talk) 15:04, 21 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Both of those sites are unvetted fan-wiki, so I'm not sure why they're considered authoritative. Also "Wolf Time" literally has one of the main characters from "Voice Of The Whirlwind" on every page, so the page number citation would be "all". But if someone's so invested in a minor sci-fi author's Wikipedia page that they'll revert good-faith edits then I'm not ever going to be able to satisfy that person's criteria. Thanks for the middle finger! 50.236.49.198 (talk) 13:28, 26 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I wasn't paying attention to Wolf Time. It is in the Hardwired series. It's not a novel, though, so it should probably be in the Notable short fiction section. Whatever. Dan Bloch (talk) 20:20, 26 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Added back "Wolf Time". Dan Bloch (talk) 06:22, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
