International?

(in reply to Hemanshu) A quick check on Google seems to show that it's often referred to as the Venice International Film Festival. Also, entries such as "63rd Venice International Film Festival" refer to it in this way. The fact that the Italian title for the festival contains 'international' is the most convincing reason to edit the title of the entry. Since you posted this more than 2 years ago and there hasn't been a reply, I think I'll just go ahead and change it now. It can always be changed back if people disagree. Edit: That's if I knew how. Cleaning up this article

I've started wikifying loads of links, but I don't have the time to do this article by myself! Also, I only know the basics of wiki, and the basics of wikipedia. I hope more experienced users can contribute. Several sections need reqrites, and some of the lists can go out altogether, or be moved. Cannes

I just saw a news report that the idea for the Cannes film festival was created after two pro-Nazism films got high honors in some time before 1939... any one know about this and/or able to write about this?

Venice International Film Festival → Venice Film Festival – The title should be moved back to Venice Film Festival. While "Venice International Film Festival" is also an appropriate title, however on their official website, the title "Venice Film Festival" appears more prevalent, although both titles are used. Also, various mainstream news outlet, such as The New York Times (for examples [1] and [2]: "The 69th edition of the Venice Film Festival, the oldest international festival of its kind, is actually celebrating its 80th birthday this year, with 18 films vying for the Golden Lion.") and BBC [3] uses "Venice Film Festival". I do think the articles for each year's festival, i.e. 69th Venice International Film Festival should remain that way. On the official website, pages for that particular year's festival is often keeps the word international in the title; however, pages on the festival's history uses Venice Film Festival, [4].--TheLeopard (talk) 09:04, 17 February 2013 (UTC)

Great Gold Medals of the National Fascist Association for Entertainment

The section has four sentences, two of them incomplete sentences. Moreover, the assertion that Katharine Hepburn was the first winner of the award is not supported by the citation. (The url has been replaced since it was linked, but can be seen on the Wayback Machine.) It would not be the "first" award in any event since both actor and actress awards appear to have been handed out. In any event to the extent that the Wikipedia article Volpi Cup for Best Actress can be relied on (and I am aware of the Wiki policy that Wikipedia articles are not reliable for sources) the first "Great Gold Medal ..." to an actress was given to Helen Hayes in 1932.
