Etymology of the Term edit

I do not believe the etymology of the term "Tyranny of the Majority" as presented in this article is correct. The term itself is usually attributed to Alexis de Tocqueville's, Democracy in America, Volume 1, Part 2, Chapter 8, "On that which Tempers the Tyranny of the Majority in the United States."(1835) The danger of the omnipotence of the majority is presented in chapter 7. Tocqueville does not claim to be the first to identify this danger. He cites the authorship of Thomas Jefferson (letters to James Madison) and Madison (Federalist 51), circa 1788. --Fberus (talk) 20:48, 21 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

I agree with @Fberus. I edited the Term section. I also moved the mention of the greek term down since it is not the direct etymology of the expression which gives title to the article and one would expect the first paragraph of the section called Term, in its first paragraph, to directly concern such expression in spite of the chronological order. I had even thought of adding directly what @Fberus wrote in zir comment above (from after the first period). TeraSibune (talk) 17:22, 21 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
