Redundancy edit

A felon is someone who’s been convicted of a felony.

A “convicted felon” is this a convicted person who’s been convicted of a felony.

Just use felon, no adjective required. 98.153.139.238 (talk) 01:07, 28 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

"Daystar" vs. "Lanez" vs. "Peterson" Inconsistency edit

Feels a little inconsistent that the article uses both "Daystar" and "Lanez" at different occasions to refer to him. It feels especially jarring that the section on his shooting/assault against Megan Thee Stallion uses "Lanez," and then right below that, his Personal Life section uses "Daystar."

Also, it feels weird to use "Daystar" to refer to him when that is legally his first name; typically, when referring to a person in a setting like Wikipedia, you would use his last name (Peterson) - or his stage name's surname (Lanez) - but not both interchangeably, and not his first name. Using "Daystar" feels as inappropriate as using "Tory" would feel.

For an example of an article with consistency, Lady Gaga exclusively uses "Gaga" to refer to her, even when discussing her childhood before she adopted her stage name, and even though her real surname is Germanotta. (The article also never refers to her as "Stefani," except when identifying her real name.)

Is there a particular reason for this inconsistency? I wanted to ask before editing or anything, since I don't see any discussion about it yet. Sorry for any confusion this may cause; I was just a bit puzzled by this. Afddiary (talk) 18:35, 4 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

I think that Daystar, being his first name, shouldn't be used at all in here Lean Harvey Oswald (talk) 12:32, 2 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
