Where can we get info on "Mind's Ear" album? edit

I was checking all of Tom Harrell albums, "Mind's Ear" is the only one i can't get any info, not even on discogs.

Does this LP really exist?109.13.1.76 (talk) 11:54, 27 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

This page is a complete embarassment... it looks like someone took an undergrad term paper and pasted it in here.

What in the world happened to this page, it's a total mess. 24.5.188.169 (talk) 01:52, 4 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Schizophrenia edit

Happy to see Tom Harrell has an entry. Sad to see that 50% of the article refers to his medical condition rather than his musicianship. Tom Harrell's creativity and musicianship are what distinguishes him as an individual. The description of the side-effects of his medical treatment could apply to any patient suffering form this particular disorder. I will try to add more information on Tom Harrell's art when I have the info and the time. Sluzzelin 22:43, 28 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

This entry is disgraceful. Why are there no details on his playing, only on his P.S.? This man is not a novelty. He is a jazz god.

This is an encyclopedic entry - the world of psychology happens to be absolutely very fond of Mr. Harrell. As you said, he is a "jazz god." As such, every accomplishment of his should not upset you. His mannerisms on the stage may not have been placed in the appropriate section, nor written in the most professional style. However, this is a dominant part of both who Mr. Harrell is as well as why he is such a magnificent specimen of a human being. Does it not meet the requirements of "notability?"--129.72.188.251 (talk) 23:11, 9 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Additionally, this is a very very well known fact. I don't know who asked for a citation on that, rather than any of the other propositions set forth in this article. To satisfy all, I believe my 8 references should satisfy.--129.72.188.251 (talk) 23:13, 9 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

There is now no mention about PS in Tom's bio. There should at least be a sentence. 66.108.103.161 (talk) 20:29, 28 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Copyvio edit

The "Biography" section had been replaced with a copy & paste from allaboutjazz.com. This is a copyright violation (not to mention PoV text). I've reverted the section to its earlier version. Also, the "Schizophrenia" section didn't really need a separate section from "Biography." -- Gyrofrog (talk) 20:49, 19 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

No mention of his mental illness whatsoever? edit

This is passive stigmatization of people with mental illnesses. Harrell's accomplishments should be a testament to the contrary. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.239.2.158 (talk) 07:18, 7 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Merger proposal edit

I propose that Tom Harrell Quintet be merged into Tom Harrell. The quantity of information about the quintets is about the same on each page, but the quintets don't warrant a separate article. EddieHugh (talk) 18:05, 2 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
