Talk:Talking tree

In Ireland a tree may help you look for a leprechaun's gold, although it normally doesn't actually know where the gold is.

That's new to me - could we have a reference please?

Not sure if this links helps anyone but I'd keep it around http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml;jsessionid=MLYGYKBGOGQ2DQFIQMFSFGGAVCBQ0IV0?xml=/news/2007/11/12/wtree112.xml EvanCarroll 21:16, 13 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'd like to see a reference to the story by Philostratus. I assume it's in The Life of Apollonius of Tyana Book VI. There is a passage where Thespeseon has an elm tree salute Apollonius in the voice of a woman, but it does not enter into the conversation? It is more of a conjuring trick on the part of Thespeseon.
