Weiss NationalityEdit

Shouldn't Weiss be a Polish/German composer? I remember a while ago I read that his father (and possibly mother) have some Polish nationality. I'm looking for the source, but I can't seem to find it. Have anyone heard about this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 06:29, 13 January 2008 (UTC) At the time of his birth Grottkau belonged to the Austrian Empire. — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 10:20, 30 August 2013 (UTC)

Spelling of his NameEdit

I notice the Article has his first name spelt with a Y, being Sylvius. However in the intro it is spelt with an I, being Silvius. Is there any historical references showing the correct spelling, or is this a change when the name is spelt out in English vs the original German. I don't want to correct it without having the proper facts. --Lantrix (talk) 05:23, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Further research shows their is indeed confusion between the two spellings as shown on this site. However I believe the article should be consistent, and if required document that there is an unknown in the spelling of his name. --Lantrix (talk) 05:30, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
