  • Copyvio check: I reviewed matches found using Earwig's Copyvio Detector. No concerns.
  • Images: Both from a CC source. Seems like there are no better free-to-use images available. Captions and positioning are fine.
  • I made some very minor edits, let me know if any are issues.

Sources

  • Sources seem to be reliable. Suitable range for a GA.
  • There are three newspapers called The Evening Sun/Evening Sun according to the disambiguation page, so can a location parameter be added?
    • Done, and ProQuest ID also added.
  • Africa Report. Vol. 39, no. 2. is shown as March/April 1994 in the EBSCO database (rather than just March).
    • This is true, but adding "March/April 1994" into the date= parameter causes an error message.
  • Africa Research Bulletin volume number can be added. I couldn't see the page number on my preview.
    • Since the compilation is a volume range, I couldn't which volume of the two is the correct one. I've added it though, for what it's worth.
  • Any reason to have |author-link=Jean-Pierre Chrétien as a redlink, but not others?
    • Not sure; removed.
  • Krueger & Krueger (2007) should have a |via= added , as the content deliverer is different from the publisher. For consistency with the other book citations, also add |location=Austin (I am not sure whether Banshimiyubusa (2018) needs a |via= too)
    • Done.
  • Optionally, ISBNs could be put in a consistent format (i.e. either all with dashes, or all without)
    • Dashified
  • I reviewed some sources against the text and found no issues, so happy to AGF on the others.

Infobox and lead

  • Assuming that Hatungimana (2012) does include Kinigi's date of birth as 24 November 1953, this can be amended in the infobox.
    • Done.
  • Ngeze and Sibomana are mentioned in the infobox but not in the text. Maybe mentions could be worked into the article body (which is probably better than adding citations into the infobox)
    • Done.
  • Her party is referred to "Union pour le Progrès national" in the infobox but "Union pour le Progrès national" in the lead and body.
    • Fixed.
      • Of course I meant to write "Union for National Progress" in the infobox ... BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 16:33, 14 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • I think it would be helpful to add a brief explanation of what a "structural adjustment program" is, or something about Burundi's SAP, in the lead, or at least in the body.
    • I'm hesitant to add much without fully understanding her role; the SAP was started several years before she was given charge of it and apparently encompassed a motley bunch of things including foreign loans, privatizations, removing price controls, etc. I might have found something that covers her role here and have submitted a request to my university's library for a full view.

Early life and education

  • Putting "Diplômes d'études supérieures" in the search box, it seems there's a potential wikilink, if the source is clear on which type applies.
    • The source did not specify, which is why I did not link it. -Indy beetle (talk) 23:05, 13 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Career

  • "new government.[7][6]" - refs could be ordered numerically.
    • Done.
  • Could add a few words about Bujumbura to show it's significance.
    • Noted it was the capital.

Thanks for your work on the article, Indy beetle. I found it interesting and well-written. From what I've read in sources, the breath and depth are suitable for a GA. I've made some suggestions for tweaks above. Regards, BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 16:57, 13 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the responses, Indy beetle. Additional text about the "structural adjustment program" isn't necessary for this to be a GA, but would be a future improvement if you do find out relevant info. I'm satisfied that the article meeets the GA criteria and so am passing it. Regards, BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 16:33, 14 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
