Utilitarian vs art form aspects edit

Maybe do stencil as office supplies, and move images, see also and links to stencil graf for the artform. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dogears (talkcontribs) 19:45, August 6, 2006 (UTC)

The one sided redaction of the English article (only "graffiti aspect, neglecting use of stencil as precursor for xeroxing" has lead to very divergent articles in the other languages: some follow the example of the English article, others stress the second aspect. That is to say that Wikipedia as a whole is A MESS what this article is concerned.
It would be nice if the English article were remade into two separate articles. Then the references to the other languages could be made according to the real subject.

stencil = template? edit

So, what is the difference between stencil and template? When I saw the image of a stencil, I thought that is a template. 82.141.95.243 (talk) 22:50, 27 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Ammunition box is screen printed not stencilled edit

the ammunition box shown is clearly not stencilled in the way described in the article, since the letter show no gaps from bridges as wouöd be expected. Most likely screen printed. The uneven spacing near the lot no. would suggest that the characters there are individually printed while the fixed text and symbols are screen printed as a whole. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2a02:810d:2440:2933:f872:355:509b:5387 (talk) 11:21, August 15, 2021 (UTC)

Good catch. I removed the image. Opencooper (talk) 16:02, 25 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
