Merging FISTF edit

I have taken the liberty of merging FISTF into this article, as it seems to me that the two separate articles were unnecessary - and rather than spreading the contained information out thinly, it seemed better to include it all in one article. If anyone wishes to take issue with this, please comment. Seb Patrick 11:35, 1 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Origins edit

as FISTF is derived from Subbuteo and indeed newfooty how can it be correct to say that Subbuteo in itself is a form of sports table football ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.72.115.81 (talk) 10:20, 21 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

FISTF edit

FISTF is a merger between ETF and FISA nations. Many STF nations had two existing domestic associations between the 1970s-1990s. The sport or game derived from Newfooty (1929), developed further through Subbuteo (1947) and took main technical changes in 1993 through development of new upcoming manufacturers. Subbuteo is well known throughout the world as a game, but it is not a sport. Subbuteo is sold through toy shops and distribution to reach the kids. It is permanently brought up into context to the FISTF and its sports rules and regulation definitions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sporttischfussball (talkcontribs) 10:52, 17 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please be so kind as to contact me concerning certain Information and historical facts, so the all contributers do well for the SPORTS TABLE FOOTBALL. I am investing much time, so that this page unifies all our historical information. This page is not an advertisement place for Subbuteo, and therefore we prefer using the words "sport table football", which is specified in the statutes off FISTF. email: horst.deimel@aon.at — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sporttischfussball (talkcontribs) 15:25, 16 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

The Wikipedia page of "Sports table football" must actually be named FISTF, because the information written are about FISTF and the predecessors (ETF and FISA). Sports table football is the sport played and not Subbuteo. Subbuteo is the registered product name of Hasbro (USA) and distributed by Force Eleven (ESP). Sports table football is the evolution of Subbuteo and Newfooty, and all the world say: "We (I) play Subbuteo". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sporttischfussball (talkcontribs) 15:41, 18 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
