POV

I edited the line about the 'astronaut' love scene. Describing it as "The only memorable scene" was POV, and the line "for no apparent reason" was wrong - it seemed pretty obvious to me that Michael considered having sex with Ashley as significant and challenging as man stepping onto the moon.

By the way, I thought in that scene he was having sex with Heidi Klum, who was playing herself, but I've left it as 'Ashley' since it's been too long since I've seen the episode to be certain. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Samuel Blanning (talk • contribs) 12:36, 8 September 2005

It's Heidi Klum. Ashley left a good season or so before that episode was shot/aired. User:Boomtish

That's true, but no-one really liked him. Nobody disliked him, but no one liked him. When Claudia said after Paul went to Miami that she needed to talk to Paul's best friend and Mike responded "And there's nobody else here so I guess that's me," it basically summed up the entire relationship between City Hall and Paul Lassiter. Nobody really liked him, although they accepted him and didn't dislike him. Numerous disliked Stuart though.... Bsd987 05:24, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

US Broadcasts?

I see there's a section for the international broacast of the show, but what about the US? Currently TBS airs it every weekday in the afternoon, like 2:00 & 2:30 in the east, I believe. Production and direction

It was created by Gary David Goldberg & Bill Lawrence. It was Executive Produced by Gary David Goldberg & Michael J. Fox for the first four seasons. Bill Lawrence also was Executive Producer seasons three and four, after being superving producer first season and co-executive producer the second.Michael J. Fox left the show at the end of the fourth season and was replaced by Charlie Sheen. Bill Lawrence also left the show at the end of the fourth season, along with Director/Executive Producer Andy Cadiff, a few writers/producers also left the show.Seasons Five and Six were Executive Produced by Gary David Goldberg. Tom Hertz also Executive Produced the Sixth season. Seasons five and six were Directed by Ted Wass.

AKA Chaos City

I just saw a few episodes of this in Europe, and it was called Chaos City, complete with a different title screens. Doesn anyone know where this rename occured? (I saw it in Germany, but the program was in English and not subtitled). I added this alt name to the lead. It was not in English, it was dubbed to German, as all other English-speaking programs shown on German TV. You can check in the article about Chaos City in the German wikipedia, where you get to know all the Germans who lent their voices to each character in the series. That all English programs are dubbed in German is the reason why Germans in general speak worse English than, for examples Swedes. In Sweden all English programs are transmitted with the original sound and Swedish subtitles, so every program works as a lesson in English with perfect pronunciation. An exception is made for very young children who cannot read, so English programs for very young children are dubbed to Swedish. I am a Swede but I have watched German TV-channels 8 hours a day for 20 years, so I understand Swedish, English and German equally well. During all years I have watched German TV I have only seen one exception to the rule that they dub everything. One channel, Bayern Rundfunk, sent painting lessons with Bob Ross at 01:00 PM every night for at least a year with the original sound. But Bob Ross says very little, and repeats himself all the time, so people are only interested in watching him paint.Roger491127 (talk) 01:04, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

In the article about Bob Ross it says: "In a 1990 interview, Ross mentioned that all his programs were donated free of charge to PBS stations.." That is probably why Bayern Rundfunk sent many hundreds of his painting lessons in English. They didn't have to pay for the programs, so they didn't waste any money on dubbing the programs either. Anyway, he inspired me to start painting, both IRL in acrylic colors and on the computer using a graphic tablet.Roger491127 (talk) 01:24, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

The later years

Under the section, "The later years," is the following statement:

"The characters of Nikki, Janelle and James were not carried over (like Stacy, their absences are presumed to be because the actors felt the show should not go on without Fox)..."

This may be true of Chaplin, Dillard and Britton, but Jennifer Esposito left the show after season three, well before Fox's announcement that he was quitting the show. It was speculated at the time that Esposito left the show to pursue her movie career. I have no specific sources to cite, which is why I'm putting this here instead of editing the main article. However, if you view the Filmography section of Esposito's page here on Wikipedia, you can see just how full her plate was during the time period she appeared on Spin City. --66.87.0.32 (talk) 17:12, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Revisions

I plan to make revisions in the near future, as the are some mistakes on the page, I have already fine-tuned the side bar, and added a characters section, so the actors and characters are now more easily identifiable. I plan to make a character appearance list to go with that section, and make any revisions necessary to the rest of the page too.
