Does anything simular to Special English exist in other languages such as Japanese? Same question goes for the "Voice of America" news broadcasts. Such programs would be useful to a student learning a foreign lang. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.233.76.227 (talk) 19:28, 7 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

VOA no longer using the term edit

None of the VOA sites are using the phrase "Special English" anymore in new materials, it they appear to be using the term "Learning English", which conflicts with the BBC's use of the same. I think the article should be changed to reflect this - I've seen one post referring to it as "VOA Learning English" to distinguish it from the BBC's. —Hobart (talk) 02:51, 8 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Hobart, I was thinking the same thing. I propose a rename for this article, as it even says itself that it was Previously called special English.--Ghinga7 (talk) 21:13, 23 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

I will do this. Jaydavidmartin (talk) 20:53, 22 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
