Question

Its says in the UK part that special branch are responsible for the security of non royals. Could anyone please tell me who is responsible for the safety of royals? Thanks --89.56.149.66 13:19, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

Special branch of the Thai police

It is true that the Special Branch of the Royal Thai Police is responsible, among otheres, for matters concerning citizenship of Thailand. At one point in the past it used to have something to do with passports too, but no longer. The so-called "Special Branch" cited in the reference as having something to do with (Myanmar) passport holders, is not the unit under the Thai police at all, but an authority under the Myanmar Ministry of Home Affairs. The quoted article was clear that the said "Special Branch" from Myanmar and was dealing with its own people, albeit through its office in Ranong Province, Thailand. I agree. Besides, it does not sound completely unbiased: one may be equally interested in the behaviour of radicals towards the police as well as vice versa. Mb 3r7864 (talk) 02:55, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
