This is a Christian organisation. I was not sure which catagory to place it into.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Pgkfleming (talkcontribs) 11:18, 24 December 2009

Edit source

edit

A recent edit gave the explanation 'Changed "During 2008" to "During 2013" following email correspondence with Stephen Toms secretary of SGAT'. An email exchange is not published, and so it is not an acceptable source for any statement in a Wikipedia article, but since the previous statement was also unsourced, i am simply adding a CN tag. Notability

edit

notability requires significant coverage from independent secondary reliable sources. Usually multiple sources are required. No such sources have been cited for this article as yet. In fact, NO independent sources have yet been cited at all. I am about to restore the notability and referencing tags to the article. Please do not remove them unless 3rd-party reliable sources are cited, sufficient to establish notability as per our guideline on notability of organizations or the general notability guideline. Not sure if this is the right place or even the right information but FWIW.... 1. For any organisation to be registered with the Charity Commission it has to pass their tests of acceptability and submit annual externally-audited accounts. 2. I have in my possession a hardback book of 140 pages plus index "The Faith and the Hope of the Future" written by Rev. Thomas Houghton and published by The Sovereign Grace Advent Testimony in which the author sets out its doctrinal position, which is undoubtedly evangelical Christian. The book contains a foreword by Bishop Frank Houghton, one of the author's eight children and then General Director of the China Inland Mission, a major Christian influence in China until the rise of communism. This book presumably raises the publishing profile of the organisation above that of just "a few leaflets". Saxonhawthorn (talk) 15:41, 9 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
