Skyscraper fire → High-rise fire – The current article name is unduly narrow and not quite accurate. This article relates to articles in high-rise buildings, many of which are not described in sources as "skyscrapers." The proposed new article title would more accurately reflect the subject matter and more in keeping with the sources. For instance, the final entry relates to the recent Bronx fire, which is described in sources as a high-rise fire and not as a skyscraper fire. Coretheapple (talk) 17:42, 10 January 2022 (UTC)

• Support per nomination. The list includes 35 structures less than 100 meters high and, among the structures which have specified height, the first three are 33 meters high — ten-story buildings — by no means skyscrapers. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 06:08, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

• I agree with Lugnuts that the title should be changed to List of fires in high-rise buildings as this is indeed a list article. I won't tamper with the template but please consider my request officially amended. Coretheapple (talk) 15:04, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
• I agree with Lugnuts too. "Skyscraper" is a loosely defined term (sort of over 100m, depending on urban context, which will vary from place to place), whereas low-rise (up to 5 stories/~18m) mid-rise (5-10 stories/~33m) and high-rise (more than 10 stories/~33m) are defined and widely accepted. • Although my above vote states, "Support per nomination", the intuitive form of the main title header should be, of course, List of fires in high-rise buildings, per Lugnuts and comments by Coretheapple and Acroterion. The nomination, quite understandably, proposed the least disruption in the style and form of the original header — Skyscraper fire — but this is indeed a list as Lugnuts has rightly pointed out. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 20:21, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

I suggest to specify in the table header if the height refers to the building or to the fire. This because I arrived here from the accident in the Empire SB checking to verify the comment on the height of the fires. 151.29.133.9 (talk) 11:07, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
