Talk:Single parents in the United States

weird internet-male take on single motherhood in the US edit

I'm disappointed in the quality of this article -- strange, retrograde, and sounds like it was pieced together from sources that didn't involve firsthand knowledge of single motherhood or its family structures in the US. Nothing about multigenerational households. Nothing about SMBC. Nothing about mothers' demographics beyond race. Big anxiety about making sure single dads get a lot of airtime here despite being a small minority of custodial single parents. Rationalizations about why single parents are mostly women that sidesteps actual causes in favor of a well-debunked anti-father-bias argument. As I'm not interested spending my time in internet fights with the kind of men who call us "females", I'll spend my time on more accurate writeups elsewhere, but please know that this one is not good. 184.170.163.16 (talk) 19:50, 20 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
