Word query edit

In the section "Public Institution" the word "cadastral" appears. Although I'm a well-educated man of 71 I have never encountered this word in English. It appears to be connected with registry (as in births, marriages, deaths) and I suggest the word "registrars" instead. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.114.196.28 (talk) 16:07, 13 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Greetings from Germany! I live in Simmern. :-) I'm just wondering where the information for the town's history has been taken from? Quite a few things are wrong there, especially the first two paragraphs. Simmern DID suffer in the Thirty Years' War, and the fire in 1689 was not because of overcrowding conditions. The french under Louis XIV set the whole town on fire in a war of succession on September 17, 1689. WindowsKiller (talk) 21:41, 28 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
