Ethnicity out of control

Agreed that there is too much. The article only needs what pertains to his life and career. (And, please no examples of other articles with too much on parentage.) The speculation about his father's Jewish roots based on his second name is quite over-the-top; it doesn't help that there are no sources given for this material

The ethnic make-up of his home town adds nothing to the article. It might be appropriate to the article on the town itself, in which case, it can be linked to this one.

There are many words in quotation marks in the article that have no sources. Citation are needed in each case. A single reference at the end of a multitude of paragraphs is not sufficient. Bielle (talk) 21:30, 7 October 2012 (UTC)

Too much emphasize on parents background, the article is about Sergei Stanishev not his parents. No citations for Dimitar's father Yakov (Yakov is the grandfather of Sergei) to be Jewish and therefore no need to continue with this speculations. But the mother is Jewish from Ukraine and this makes him 100% Jewish according to Jewish religious laws and therefore there is no need to have unusual speculations for his father Dimitar and his grandfather Yakov. In the citation 8 (http://www.segabg.com/article.php?sid=2001063000010090001) there is no information about Jewish ethnicity but about Bulgarian ethnicity from the area of Aegean and Vardar Macedonia. It is just clear Sergei Stanishev is Jewish from his mother side, which makes him full blooded Jew.

Agree with all of the above notes. Will edit the part about his parents now. Plus, the sources quoted (in Bulgarian) are really not very reliable. One of them is a tabloid of the worst kind, and the other one - a blog entry?!? Veni Markovski (talk) 11:57, 11 October 2012 (UTC)

I think it is better to use more reliable sources about his Jewish (mother side) and Bulgarian (father side) within the article since we are writing for a living person - WP:BLP and WP:BLPGOSSIP

Websites and dubious newspapers should not be used to back up such serious claims about living persons. I suggest Ceco starts discussing things prior to adding any other possible BLP violations to the article. --Laveol ^T 21:22, 11 October 2012 (UTC)

Please stop adding conspiracies

Wikipedia is not a place to add far flung conspiracies that involve Sergei Stanishev's wife's business partner's associates' associates'. Please only add things if there is at least some reasonable doubt. Four steps removed could mean anything.
