Brian Costello As promised, further comments detailing removal of some entries: The Definition to savage is cloud.

Redlinks. While redlinks does not imply removal, it seemed to me that there was little chance of these articles' existence. This, combined with the length of the page, led me to believe their removal was merited.

Little chance of someone typing in "Savage" and expecting to get there; they would type in that it was a club or hall, i.e. little chance of confusion

All little chance of confusion, like the club and hall.

Some similar entries were kept because it was apparent to me (from that article) that the subject is often referred to as "Savage", and therefore someone could reasonably come to think of it formally as "Savage". If you want to re-include any entries, please add an invisible comment next to it on the disambiguation page itself to explain why (or if too long, comment + note here).

I also removed all people and moved them to the list of people by name because none of them are normally known as merely "Savage" (like e.g. Bach was), but I included a link there for those that might need it. Neonumbers 06:56, 15 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I removed "Vandal Savage" based on the same criterion. DaveKrieger 17:33, 31 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Entries 22/9/07 edit

There is no mention of Savage in that article.

Any reasonable person that seeks this will type in "Savage 2"; if they type "Savage" it means they're looking for the first game.

An entry on the subject "savages" edit

Shouldn't there be an entry documenting the concept of the "savage" as distinct from an article on "tribes" which anyway is also a problematic term? 82.111.242.154 (talk) 00:04, 3 May 2008 (UTC)R.E.D.Reply

I agree that there should be a separate article. None of the closest disambiguated terms capture the sense in which the term was used historically, and the long existing article on noble savage, without a background article on "savage" itself, lacks context.Popsup (talk) 09:07, 13 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Savage band - where are they from? edit

The disambiguation page entry for Savage (band) says "band from NY" but the actual wiki page for Savage (band) says they are from England. Mike (talk) 18:57, 17 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Adding Savage surname persons edit

Inserting more well-known individuals by the surname of Savage into the section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Feng277394 (talkcontribs) 13:18, 1 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Also, the articles on these persons exist when clicked, but how come their names show as redlinks? Feng277394 (talk) 06:54, 2 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Move discussion in progress edit

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Savage (Megan Thee Stallion song) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 18:36, 27 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Proposed moving to "Savage (disambiguation)" edit

This is a disambiguation article and missing the designation in the article title. Mechanical Keyboarder (talk) 20:46, 29 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
