Editor's notes removed from article edit

I removed the following from the article:

(NB; the preceding paragraph carries a heavy editorial slant and that the "considerable criticism" comes from members who felt they were portrayed in a less than flattering light, while it glosses over Krakauer's exhaustion as "sleeping", as if he was merely taking a nap and refused to aid Boukreev).

and

(NB; again, the original author of this wiki entry uses Hill as his source for the quote, and neglects to include that the 2006 Outside Magazine 1996 Everest disaster 10th anniversary story didn't include any interview with Krakauer, another obvious editorial slant).

for several reasons. 1) The statements as written stand as the editor's opinion and 2) no references were given to support said statements. I don't have a problem if the original editor wishes to add something similar to the article, but it needs to be done correctly. Scrapbkn (talk) 22:51, 11 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Negative claims edit

A curious one - I note that this article talks about Sandy Hill speaking out against negative claims regarding the Everest expedition, but doesn't actually mention the claims. Was this a deliberate omission? They're fairly well documented allegations that could be pretty easily referenced from the various books and articles such as the Vanity Fair 'The Real Story of ...' article. Not an issue of vital import, but it struck me as odd when I came across this page. Thoughts? I could attempt to pull together a balanced summary of the things people have said. 213.205.194.173 (talk) 20:38, 4 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
