Thank you edit

I would like to take the time to thank you (past due from 1990), Congressman (at the time) Robert Michels for providing the grant that got my husband through college at Illinois State University, Jacksonville, Il. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa at the age of 28 (non-trad student).. He later became an officer in the USMC after being previously enlisted. He served in Iraq as many have done. Again I can't say Thank you enough. Sincerely Keri Reynee Cleeton ( Keri Reynee Neal) My Children thank you too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.226.201.126 (talk) 02:58, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Picture edit

Isn't there an official portrait of him from the 103rd Congress, when he was last in the public eye? That's how history will be remembering him now that he's dead. More like this than the picture we currently use. Daniel Case (talk) 22:24, 20 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Addition edit

The fact he was a candidate for the Speaker of the House (at least) eight times (losing all eight) should really be mentioned somewhere --- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Speaker_of_the_United_States_House_of_Representatives_elections
