MacGyver edit

This guy was in MacGyver as well, in at least one episode. 88.88.19.25 (talk) 06:50, 19 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

SAG issue with the other Richard Hatch edit

While the entry line references Richard Hatch (Survivor contestant), actor Richard Hatch's wikipedia page should have a section noting the problem that their identical names (without the use of middle initial or name) briefly created for the Screen Actors Guild. This did make the media, but I'm not going to take the time to look this interesting intellectual property issue up. 143.232.210.38 (talk) 17:00, 16 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Moved as requested. Note that a disambiguation page can exist even where there are only two notable subjects, if there is a clear lack of a primary topic between them. bd2412 T 16:50, 28 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Richard HatchRichard Hatch (actor) – The actor/writer is not the primary topic. Stats of the actor/writer and the Survivor contestant are similar, but I can believe that many want to go for the contestant. But I can assume that the actor is more significant than the popular contestant for a long time. But the disambiguation page must be created in case of doubt. If I were proposing the contestant to be the primary topic, I would say so. However, I doubt the contestant is more significant than the actor/writer. We cannot ignore the person's novels based on Battlestar Gallactica original. While I prefer "actor", I'll allow Richard Hatch (writer) or Richard Hatch (author) as alternatives. • Oppose This looks like a pretty confused move request. No Wikipedia guideline says that "the disambiguation page must be created in case of doubt". Actually, there is an assumption that in cases of only 2 people the margin of notability does not need to be very great to decide that one is the primary meaning. I am not familiar with either of these people, but I would assume that a half-decent actor is likely to have greater long-term significance than a reality show contestant. • Support no primary topic, therefore a disambiguation page should be the primary landing location. -- 76.65.128.112 (talk) 05:10, 29 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Support as I agree with George Ho's rationale. Gloss • talk 21:22, 19 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. Three Richard Hatches, create a DAB page. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 10:08, 20 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
Ahem! There are two notable Richard Hatches; the other was a non-notable surfer. George Ho (talk) 15:58, 20 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
There are three Richard Hatches on three pages. And there is Richard Hatcher. This is too much for hatnoting. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 22:45, 20 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Article could use a Filmography section. The intro should be broken up - the intro should summarize the entire article. Morphh 00:05, 3 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Death? edit

Do we have any source other than an entertainment website "BleedingCool"[1] confirming his death? So far, that seems to be the only source... Not saying it's not accurate, but this is a Bio of a living person, so one assumes it should be corroborated by a more official source first? Plenty of celebrity death hoaxes out there. 67.138.177.30 (talk) 23:01, 7 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

I think the death is a hoax. This should be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.101.190.169 (talk) 23:15, 7 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
Not a hoax; NY Daily News Article 66.168.236.160 (talk) 23:38, 7 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Date of Death incorrect. WIki shows 6/7/17 actual date is 2/7/17 which is posted on Richard Hatch home page richardhatch.com — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.85.236.234 (talk) 19:22, 5 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
