Nightlife edit

Any thoughts on adding that the area immediately surrounding the cemetery (see reference to "bars") as of recent (a few years now at least) also double as brothels after 11 pm. Look into it: Blacks, Affaire, Closer, Play Woman, Sodoma, are the obvious ones. Try a google search for "Argentina Sex, Prostitution, Nightlife" - it's the first thing that comes up. Check the bottom of that page. I lived there for about five years and was surprised to find out that it even existed myself some years later. I think the article as it stands now over glamorizes the Recloeta area.

Excellent area of restaurants and bars. Appartments whose price are very increased, lot of luxury, streets that have the best shops, international brands, including one of the largest and exclusive cinema areas (Village), including book stores, music stores, etc. Famous restaurants ("Lola") located in Junin street are famous in Recoleta, also the famous night clubs located in the area, the famous cafes (coffee bars) "Cafe de la Paix" and the famous "Bar la Biela". Really the night and day life is ongoing. In those bars is possible to see famous people as well, is a gathering centre for politics, writers, and also movie directors. The Alvear Palace hotel (in Av Alvear) is a jewel, its architectonic is superb.

Al except the "Cafe de la Paix",that now is an aroma, is correct

Martial arts in front of Cafe La Biela edit

I recently uploaded the below picture. It's on the Capoeira article. I thought it may be interesting in this article as well. But there are already several pictures, so I'll let others decide. -- Andrew Parodi (talk) 07:12, 7 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Too many images... edit

Hey you all, there are just too many images on many of Argentines articles, we should avoid sandwiching text between two images that face each other and limit Galleries with a huge amount of images! lets use {{Commons}} to link to more images on Commons wherever possible, too many images sometimes provoke havoc in some articles and/or monitors.

Please let's follow Wikipedia's Manual of Style for guidelines: Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style#Images, lets keep Wikipedia and these articles Top-Notch – cheers - Moebiusuibeom-en (talk) 16:45, 25 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Translated version from the Spanish-language page edit

I have done a translation of the Spanish-language page on Recoleta. I am not sure where to put the obligatory

Gay village? edit

This article is listed under Category:Gay villages in Argentina and Category:LGBT culture in Buenos Aires, along with being listed as a gay village under Template:LGBT in Argentina. However, there's no mention of a gay village in the article at all! Why is that? Halfling Daniel (talk) 04:06, 18 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
